Arts for Peace

Traveling Peace Youth Art Celebration | Wilmington Library | February 2026

What Is Your Vision of a Peaceful World? What Does Peace Mean to You?

More than 450 students representing over 30 Delaware schools and community organizations were invited to reflect on these powerful questions through original artwork and written descriptions for the Pacem in Terris 10th Annual Visionary Peace Youth Art Exhibition.

Now on display at the Wilmington Public Library, this inspiring exhibition highlights a vibrant and diverse collection of creative voices. The featured works explore themes of peace, unity, compassion, and hope, expressed through the unique perspectives of young artists ages 5 to 18. Students from public, private, and charter schools, as well as community groups across the state, contributed to this meaningful showcase.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the talented young artists and their dedicated teachers for their creativity and commitment. We are equally thankful to the volunteers, generous sponsors, and donors whose support made this exhibition possible.

Special thanks to our partner, the Wilmington Public Library. Additional support was provided by the Christina Cultural Arts Center, the Laffey-McHugh Foundation, Incite, the Laffey-McHugh Foundation, Wilmington Flower Market, and the Delaware Division of the Arts. The Delaware Division of the Arts is a state agency in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and promotes arts events statewide through DelawareScene.com.

Local leaders selected the strongest messages of peace to travel throughout Delaware as part of this exhibition.

This juried exhibition showcases a diverse collection of beautiful, original, inspiring visions and messages of peace. The young artists, between 5-18 years old, submitted their artwork from public, private, and charter schools or community organizations.
