Study Nonviolent Social Change this Spring
Engaging Nonviolence: Activating Nonviolent Change in Our Lives and Our World

Although it would be great to meet in person, offering our workshops online has increased the number of folks we are reaching. So we’ll continue distance learning for some time to come, forming small groups of 10-12 learners on Zoom. Each group is facilitated by two experienced leaders.
“Engaging Nonviolence” is a study program that actively engages you in the creative power of nonviolence. It’s a rich compendium of ideas, resources, and methods designed to change the world—an interactive learning process that will help equip you for this soul-sized task.
Here’s the schedule. Note that participants must complete each part in order to move to the next.
Part I – Exploring Nonviolent Power
Our beginning workshop seeks to understand and define violence in all its forms and to explore nonviolence in personal, social, and political interactions.
Six weekly 2-hour sessions
Sunday or Wednesday, 4:00 – 6:00 pm

NOTE: The beginning workshop requires the purchase of the workbook Engaging Nonviolence: Activating Nonviolent Change in Ourselves and Our World. ($25 from Nonviolent Wilmington or from Pace e Bene Press). Subsequent workshops are free, using the same book.
Part II – Nonviolence in Practice
These intermediate sessions explore the nature of authority and how to challenge it by understanding and practicing nonviolent power.
Five weekly 2-hour sessions
(must have completed Part I)
